Emergency services hub for Beenleigh and surrounds a significant step closer

• The Queensland Police Service and the Queensland Ambulance Service have acquired a large parcel of land in Beenleigh Central.
• The site has been earmarked for the future construction of new Ambulance Service and Queensland Police Service facilities.

The Queensland Police Service and the Queensland Ambulance Service have acquired land in Beenleigh for the future establishment of a joint emergency services hub featuring new purpose-built ambulance and police facilities.

The 12,425 m² site at 45 York Street, Beenleigh, was acquired in June 2024, in a partnership between the Queensland Ambulance Service and the Queensland Police Service to meet future infrastructure needs.

It’s important that planning and contingency work happen now so that future growth in ambulance and police personnel and resourcing can be accommodated.

For example, as a result of the biggest investment in police resourcing in more than three decades, an investment that will deliver almost 3,000 extra police, the Queensland Police Service is currently undertaking the biggest recruitment campaign in the Service’s history.

In addition, the population of the Beenleigh area is growing rapidly and enhanced police and ambulance services will be needed in the future.

The acquisition of the Beenleigh site is a key element in planning for that future growth in population and ambulance and police personnel.
