It is expected thousands of delegates and more than 150 exhibitors will flock to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for the weeklong celebration.

This announcement backs in the Miles Government’s support for manufacturers through its suite of successful grant programs including the Made in Queensland and Manufacturing Hubs Grant programs.

Australian Manufacturing Week brings together industry innovators and technology specialists from around the world, and the event serves as a vital networking and professional development opportunity for anyone working in the sector.

“There’s no doubt we’re the envy of other states and manufacturers are moving to Queensland because we’ve created an environment to set them up for success.

“Manufacturing is the backbone of the Queensland economy, contributing $20 billion a year and supporting local regional communities through jobs and business growth with nearly 180,000 Queenslanders make their living in the industry.

“From food and beverages to medication and aircraft components, we make it all here in Queensland, in every corner of our state.

“The Miles Government is supporting manufacturers through record investment in the sector, unlike the LNP who when in government cut funding for manufacturers and sent opportunities like train manufacturing overseas.”
