There is still time to apply for one of 600 jobs with GOLDOC and be part of one of Queensland’s greatest success stories - the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Commonwealth Games Minister Kate Jones said many jobs were up for grabs and urged people to get their applications in before midnight tonight.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to be part of a major global event.
“We’re looking for arrival and departure officers, catering staff, cleaners, car parking attendants, protocol officers for the Games venues and friendly faces to offer assistance to spectators.”
Minister Jones said the GOLDOC workforce would reach 1500 when the 600 jobs are filled.
“Not only will successful applicants be delivering an event that reaches a broadcast audience of 1.5 billion, they will gain a lot of experience, develop new skills and make contacts to bolster their resume and future job opportunities,” Ms Jones said.
All positions are advertised on the Seek Commonwealth Games Jobs Portal.
“It’s an exciting time. We’re on the final straight with the whole team working together to deliver the best Games ever.”
The Commonwealth Games will be held from 4 to 15 April 2018.
