Calling Queensland online training providers

The Palaszczuk Government is seeking innovative proposals from Queensland training providers to expand the range of free online training options available to COVID-impacted small businesses and their employees across the state.

Minister for Employment and Small Business Shannon Fentiman said providing skills and training opportunities for Queenslanders will be vital to our economic recovery. 

“We have a plan for Queensland: Unite and Recover,” Ms Fentiman said.

“Our plan is about investing in skills and jobs.”

“We are committed to supporting small business recovery to ensure operators and their employees have access to the training they need to grow their business.

“Whether it be sharing existing online courses or developing new materials, we invite Queensland online training providers to complete an expression of interest.”

The training will be non-accredited and can cover a range of topics that could spark a new idea or find a better way to operate helping to unlock more of the potential in Queensland’s small business community and get us growing again faster.

The Minister said we have seen businesses having to adapt to online meetings, set up and grow their online stores and get smarter with their social media marketing often on their own.

“Developing the skills that respond to the needs of businesses and their staff will help them better respond to the challenges they face in the current environment,” the Minister said.
