The Honourable Cameron Dick

Sunshine Coast businesses have snapped up all but one vacant lot in Yandina Industrial Estate, delivering new jobs and expanded services to the region.

Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning Cameron Dick said Yandina Industrial Estate was an ideal investment location for small-to-medium-sized businesses in the region.

“Demand for lots within the estate has exceeded all expectations, and we anticipate the final lot will be purchased soon,” Mr Dick said.

“Located just off the Bruce Highway, the estate’s excellent road network access has resulted in a variety of businesses setting up here, creating more jobs on the Sunshine Coast.

“Most recently, 73,200 square metres was purchased by RDF Group, who will transform their vacant lot into a new area for business activity, investment and future employment.

“This will satisfy a niche in the market, enabling 10 additional small businesses to start and employ in an area where industrial land is scarce.”

Mr Dick said Container Domes Australia, a family owned and operated Sunshine Coast business, purchased Lot 8 to help expand their business and create five more jobs on the Sunshine Coast.

“Yandina Industrial Estate is home to equipment manufacturers, cabinet makers, food processors and more, and is in close proximity to the Sunshine Coast’s growing agribusiness industry, which facilitates many supply chain opportunities.”

Yandina Industrial Estate is 124 km from the Port of Brisbane, 19.6 km from Sunshine Coast Airport, 8.5 km from Nambour Central Business District and 1.7 km from Yandina railway station.

Economic Development Queensland develops, sells and leases industrial land throughout Queensland to meet demand for industrial property.
