I congratulate Powerlink Chief Executive Merryn York on her appointment as Commissioner at the Australian Energy Market Commission.

I join the Powerlink Board in thanking her for her contribution as chief executive of Queensland’s publicly-owned electricity transmission business for the past eight years.

Ms York takes up her new position in August.

Recruitment of a new Chief Executive will commence shortly.
