Queensland Police Service always puts community first

The Queensland Police Service deservedly has an international reputation as a world class operation.

Queensland police are always looking to use the latest policing philosophies and technologies to deliver better outcomes for the community.

Thanks to investments by the Palaszczuk Government police now have the technologies that allow them to be out in the community doing their work.

The QLiTE tablet devices and body worn cameras mean police are “connected” and have access to the information they need, and have the ability to share information, without returning to base.

What this means is that like never before, the Queensland Police Service is more “embedded” with the community it serves.

Police will also continue to utilise facilities that are very community based.

For example a shopping centre based Mooloolaba Police Facility has been  established at 123 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba, and will become operational in the near future.

Police Minister Mark Ryan said policing in Queensland was entering a new era.

“Queensland Police are embracing the philosophies and technologies that enable them to deliver a better level of service to Queenslanders.

“We live in a connected community and police are using those connections to their advantage so that more police are out on the road more of the time.

“The end result is we are seeing a police service that is more connected to the community it serves.

“Queenslanders can be assured they are served by a truly world class Police Service that is always looking to the future to provide the highest standards of service to its fellow Queenslanders,” Minister Ryan said.
