Minister for Education and Minister for Industrial Relations
The Honourable Grace Grace

Industrial Relations Minister Grace Grace has today visited Toowoomba-based drilling company Easternwell, one of 35 finalists in the 2018 Safe Work and Return to Work Awards.

Ms Grace said Easternwell was one of five finalists in the Best workplace health and wellbeing initiative category at this year’s prestigious awards.

“It’s great to see first-hand the good work Easternwell is doing and I know the company’s Live Well Program for FIFO workers really impressed the judges,” Ms Grace said.

“I’d like to wish Easternwell and all finalists, across ten categories, the very best of luck for the awards ceremony next Tuesday.

“In my eyes, these impressive Queensland businesses and individuals are all winners, demonstrating excellent examples of work health and safety, rehabilitation and return to work practices.”

Ms Grace said the 2018 Safe Work and Return to Work Awards would be held at Brisbane’s Royal International Convention Centre on Tuesday 2 October.

“The Safe Work and Return to Work Awards recognise and celebrate outstanding examples of organisations and individuals doing great things for Queensland when it comes to work health and safety, rehabilitation and return to work,” she said.
