Small businesses will have the opportunity to increase their networks and start conversations to help their business grow as Queensland Small Business Week brings its regional roundtable to Gladstone on 30 May.

Member for Gladstone Glenn Butcher said Queensland Small Business Week will shine a light on the growing number of small businesses in Gladstone.

“Each year, Queensland Small Business Week is host to a range of programs and activities to celebrate, connect and empower our more than 426,000 small businesses right across Queensland,” Mr Butcher said.

“We are delighted to bring this key event during Queensland Small Business Week to Gladstone.”

“This will provide regional small business owners with the opportunities to learn and network with other small business owners to help them grow and create more local jobs”

Minister for Employment and Small Business Shannon Fentiman said Queensland Small Business Week continues to be an important celebration of Queensland’s diverse small businesses.

“Last year more than 6,000 people took part in the week long, state-wide event that showcased Queensland’s small businesses,” Ms Fentiman said.

“I encourage any Queensland small business owner wanting to take their business to the next level to take part in our celebration and register to attend an event in their region during Queensland Small Business Week 2018.”

In addition to the regional roundtable, a wide range of events are being held right across Queensland during Queensland Small Business Week 2018.

Queensland Small Business Week 2018 is presented by the Queensland Government in partnership with Australia Post, Bendigo Bank and Vodafone.
