Queensland Exports Break New Record

Another month, another record for the Queensland economy. 

Trade figures for September show Queensland exports at $77.6 billion – up from $76.7 billion in August. 

This is more than the exports of New South Wales and Victoria combined. 

The results come as the Premier announced a week-long trade mission to China and the South Korea beginning this weekend. 

“Trade means jobs. It’s as simple as that,” the Premier said. 

The Premier is attending the China International Import Exposition in Shanghai.

130 countries are participating along with 18 Prime Ministers and Presidents.

The Premier will also meet with Chinese retailer Alibaba whose online business accounts for more the eBay and Amazon combined.
