Passing of Queensland Parole Board President Peter McInnes

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Queensland Parole Board President Peter McInnes.

Peter McInnes will be remembered as a passionate Parole Board President who constantly strived for improvement and made sure community safety always came first.

For over 15 years, Peter demonstrated a tireless commitment to his community as Deputy President and then President of the Queensland Parole Board, as well as his work with a number of charitable foundations. His dedication and strong work ethic were pivotal during his tenure.

Peter McInnes contributed in more ways than one to ensure Queenslanders remained safe.

The Corrective Services Commissioner and I wish to pass on our condolences and those of the Queensland Government to his partner Robyn, family and friends.
