Premier welcomes Shell Australia support for TC Debbie relief

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has welcomed Shell Australia’s donation of $200,000 to Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund to support communities in Queensland and New South Wales impacted by flooding and the effects of ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie.
“Shell has also advised its employees who would like to make a personal contribution are able to donate through Shell’s matched payroll giving to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund. Shell Australia's matched funding will be capped at $50,000,” the Premier said.
The Premier encouraged anyone wanting to help their fellow Queenslanders to make a donation directly with a respected charity:

“These charities are trained to respond to the needs of communities hit by natural disasters and can provide food, equipment, shelter, and other support,” she said.
