Premier convenes Queensland Disaster Management Committee tomorrow

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk will convene the Queensland Disaster Management Committee in Brisbane tomorrow morning (Saturday) with a Coral Sea tropical low expected to develop into a tropical cyclone and move west towards the coast over the weekend.

The Queensland Disaster Management Committee will be briefed by the Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Police Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.

“The focus of the meeting, and of my Government, will be to ensure our communities are prepared if a Cyclone forms, as expected, over the weekend,” the Premier said.
