The Palaszczuk Government is making it easier for small business and industry to access up to 1300 government services online.

Small Business Minister Leeanne Enoch said the revamped Business Queensland website would help business work smarter not harder, with improvements making it easier and quicker for businesses to find the right service at the right time.

“This is the essential site for businesses who need to connect with government services and want to start, run and grow a business,” Minister Enoch said.

“There were more than 4.4 million visitors to the site in 2015-16 and we have listened to their feedback on improving the site. Users wanted a more agile site which they could access easily anywhere, at any time, as well as being more personalised to their needs.

“Time is money to business owners and early feedback from customers and government departments about the Business Queensland website has all been positive.

“The site now allows users to customise the view and to tailor it to specific needs.

“This is all about helping business save time and money so they can get on with the job of running their business,” Ms Enoch said.

Minister Enoch said the refresh of Business Queensland was a key action under the Advancing Small Business Queensland Strategy.

“We are creating an environment for small business to start, grow and employ. Making it easier for business to connect with government services in one trusted online location is a key part of the Strategy,” she said.

The new site at www.business.qld.gov.au provides better access to Queensland Government services, as well as business license and permit requirements from the Federal Government and local councils, and SmartForms.

Website users can sign up for events, workshops and networking opportunities, apply for grants, listen to podcasts and stay up to date with licencing requirements.
