Integrated resort development process for the Gold Coast

As I advised Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate in my letter on 20 September 2017, the Palaszczuk Government is currently considering the next steps for the integrated resort development process for the Gold Coast.

At this stage, the Government has no preferred site for an integrated resort on the Gold Coast, and any decision would be made in the best interests of the State and the Gold Coast.

I note the Mayor’s comments about not proceeding with the site he nominated at Southport for the IRD. That is a matter for the Council.
