A Rockhampton-based plumbing company has been recognised for excellence in the field, snaring two awards at this year’s Master Plumbers Association of Queensland (MPAQ) industry Awards Night.

Central Queensland Plumbing picked up both the QLeave Commercial and Industrial Technical Award as well as the simPRO Service Excellence Award on the night.

Minister for Housing and Public Works Mick de Brenni congratulated the company for its outstanding work in the field.

“It’s great to see this North Rockhampton business receive state-wide recognition for their great work,” Mr de Brenni said.

“Their work on the 8,500-square metre Parkhurst Town Centre shopping mall has been incredibly well reviewed by the plumbing industry, showing attention to detail and clever use of environmentally-friendly products and installation techniques.

“They’ve also been acknowledged for their strong client focus which has seen their customer base steadily grow. They’re helping Rockhampton grow through their reliable work and the jobs they provide for local apprentices and plumbers.”

Mr de Brenni said the MPAQ awards, now in their seventeenth year, recognised the important role that plumbing and gasfitting plays across the state.

“Our state has a very strong plumbing and gas industry, based on high standards,” Mr de Brenni said.

“This is an industry that keeps us safe and underpins so much of our day-to-day lives.

“These awards are a reflection of the fantastic work being done by the industry across Queensland every single day of the year.”
