Suncorp to help make 2016 Queensland Small Business Week shine

Minister for Small Business Leeanne Enoch today announced the Suncorp Group as a gold sponsor for 2016 Queensland Small Business Week (2016QSBW). 

Minister Enoch said 2016 Queensland Small Business Week (16-21 May) and the Palaszczuk Government’s $180 million Advance Queensland initiative were providing the support small businesses needed to start a business, stay in business and employ.

“Like the Suncorp Group, the Palaszczuk Government appreciates the contribution Queensland’s 406,000 small businesses make to the State’s economy,” Ms Enoch said.

“They are the engine room or the economy and we want to empower small businesses to grow, and Queensland Small Business Week is also an opportunity for owners and operators to learn, network and connect with new ideas.

“It’s great to have a major supporter of Queensland communities and small business on board to help make this a real success.

“Suncorp will be working with us to make sure the event makes an impact with regional business and will be a key sponsor of our Queensland Government-hosted 2016QSBW events in Brisbane, Logan, Cairns, Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Toowoomba.”

Minister Enoch also encouraged people to register to attend the regional events that are a key part of the Week.

Registrations Government-hosted regional events in Toowoomba, Cairns, Logan and Rockhampton that will include Fit for Change workshops, with quick “circuits” sessions on the themes of collaboration and partnerships, innovation and entrepreneurship, identifying and seizing opportunities and preparing for digital disruption.
