Statement from the Leader of the House

This morning the Premier issued a joint statement concerning the agreement reached with members of the Katter Australia Party for support of the government’s Tackling Alcohol-Fuelled Violence Legislation Amendment Bill 2015.

The joint statement outlines the entirety of the terms of the agreement reached on this matter. 

No other commitments of government support for any other pieces of legislation, including the Katter Australia Party’s Transport Legislation (Taxi Services) Amendment Bill 2015, were discussed or provided.

The Transport Legislation (Taxi Services) Amendment Bill 2015 is still before a Parliamentary Committee, a process the Palaszczuk Government respects.

Any suggestion to the contrary is entirely false.
