Statement from Attorney General

There will be no government-funded advertising this weekend relating to the alcohol-fuelled violence legislation.

Any suggestion otherwise from the Deputy Opposition Leader is an outright lie and reveals the lengths he will go to put a small number of nightclub owners before the safety of Queenslanders.

As he should well know, and this has been canvassed at length, a modest amount of funding has been set aside for a public health awareness campaign should the laws pass the Parliament.
