The Honourable Yvette D'Ath

Minister for Training and Skills Yvette D’Ath today announced the appointment of members to the TAFE Queensland board to provide direction and guidance to Queensland’s largest provider of vocational training.

“I welcome the five new and two continuing board members who will play a key role in shaping TAFE Queensland’s strategic direction over coming years,” Mrs D’Ath said.

“I also thank outgoing board members, including chair Mr Warren Tapp, for their contribution to TAFE Queensland during the establishment and transition to a statutory body.

“Quality vocational education and training (VET) is the backbone of a skilled and productive workforce and the board plays a critical role in managing the performance of Queensland’s premium public provider of training.

“Ms Annabel Dolphin, a professional consultant with extensive Queensland Government board experience, has been appointed as the new chairperson.

“The new board includes a strong, experienced group who are passionate about TAFE Queensland’s role in fostering a quality and responsive VET sector and I look forward to engaging with them.

“Having a balance of new and continuing members will provide leadership continuity while reinvigorating the board with new skills and experience to meet TAFE Queensland’s emerging challenges,” Mrs D’Ath said.

  • Mr Shaun Coffey – experienced chair, non-executive director and chief executive;
