Townsville-based Mr Rabieh Krayem has been appointed as a Director of the Board of Stadiums Queensland.

The Stadiums Queensland Board is established under the Major Sports Facilities Act 2001 and is responsible for the management of major sports facilities in Queensland including the current Townsville Stadium.

His previous positions include General Manager of Cronulla Leagues Club, CEO of North Queensland Cowboys and CEO of North Queensland Fury.  He is the Managing Director of Outcome Results, a human resources solutions and consulting business

The Premier said Mr Krayem would be a welcome addition to the Stadiums Queensland Board.

“Rabieh has brought a valuable regional perspective to the Premier’s Business Advisory Council, and I think that perspective will add a whole new dimension to the Stadium Queensland Board,” Ms Palaszczuk said.

“With the new stadium being built in Townsville, the Treasurer and I wanted a Townsville voice on the Board and I think Rabieh will do a great job.”

Treasurer and Minister for Sport Curtis Pitt said Mr Krayem has significant experience in business development, client relationship management, sales and marketing.

“Rabieh has a breadth of experience in the private sector that will bring a great deal to the Board,” Mr Pitt said.

“I congratulate him on his appointment and look forward to working with him, especially and we look forward to the start of construction on the Townsville Stadium.”

Mr Krayem joins six other Board Directors: Sophie Devitt (Chairperson), Victoria Bryant (Carthew), Samantha Carroll, Michael Cottier, Sandra Deane and Christopher Johnson.
