Premier and Minister for the Arts
The Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk

Three Queensland charities will receive a share of the $11,598 received at the most recent public auction of Ministerial gifts.

The three charities receiving funds in this round are:

  • Cystic Fibrosis Queensland
  • Starlight Foundation
  • Leukaemia Foundation

“Public auctions are a great way to ensure Queenslanders benefit from gifts Ministers receive in the course of their duties,” Ms Palaszczuk said.

“When a gift is held by Ministerial Services for more than three years and is not on public display, we believe it’s a chance to auction that gift off and redirect those funds to those that need it most.

“The three charities that have benefited on this occasion are all very worthy of the funds.

“They do excellent work across our state helping many, many Queenslanders.

“I know these donations will be put to good use.

“And I look forward to the next round of auctions benefiting another three Queensland charities.”
