Online campaign for budding small business owners

The Queensland Government’s popular 7 steps to business success webinar campaign is back for 2016, with a new look.

Launched today, the series of short e-learning webisodes will run on the Business Queensland Facebook page - with the first webisode to go live on 25 January.

Minister for Small Business Leeanne Enoch encouraged those considering starting their own business to tune in to the online series.

“If you’re serious about starting your own business, but feel as though you need some help, this program is ideal,” Ms Enoch said.

“Participants will learn how to navigate the early research-phase of starting a business in Queensland, as well as expected costs, necessary skills and legal requirements.

“Each subject contains webisodes, resources and links to further learning materials, and participants will have an opportunity to interact with others and post questions on each video.”

The topics include:

  • Consider your suitability
  • Consider your idea
  • Consider your market
  • Consider your competition
  • Consider your environment
  • Consider your finances
  • Consider your start-up.

Ms Enoch said owning and operating a business in Queensland came with both rewards and challenges, but by taking part in the 7 steps to business success campaign prospective small business owners could enhances their chances of success.
