    10 Queensland barristers appointed as Queen’s Counsel

    Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Yvette D’Ath is today announcing the appointment of 10 senior Queensland lawyers as Queen’s Counsel.

    Mrs D’Ath said she welcomed the appointments by the Governor in Council, on the recommendation of Chief Justice Catherine Holmes.

    “I would like to congratulate each of the barristers who have today been appointed as Queen’s Counsel,” she said.

    “This is recognition of their individual skills and of their leadership among their peers and within the profession more broadly.

    “They join a group of highly-qualified and respected practising barristers across Queensland and deserve recognition for their ongoing commitment to the law in this state.

    “I know these individuals have support from their colleagues at the bar, including the Queensland Bar Association.”

     

    The barristers appointed as Queen’s Counsel are:
