Statement from Premier Campbell Newman

This afternoon I met with the family of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident that occurred in Murray Street, Cairns, last month.

They asked me to pass on their thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the people of Cairns, of Queensland, and those throughout the nation, who have offered sympathy and support in this deeply difficult time.
