Webinars boost Small Business confidence

Small businesses across Queensland are utilising a new online webinar information series to access tips on boosting their business and maximising their social media impact.

Small Business Minister Jann Stuckey logged in along with several small businesses owners and operators to take part in the Digital Learning Series.

Ms Stuckey said the free 10-part series, being run by the Newman Government and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland, would deliver on the election promise to grow a four pillar economy and revitalise frontline services.

“By offering these online options, we have made it easier for businesses to tap into the latest trends and advice simply by logging on,” Ms Stuckey said.

“Eight of these sessions has been held so far with more than 2,000 business owners, operators and managers signing up to take part from across Queensland.

“Feedback from business owners who have taken part in a session has been positive with many complimenting the session topics, delivery, format and information provided.”

Ms Stuckey encouraged anyone wanting to upgrade their skills in using social media, online marketing, and search engines to promote their business, to sign up for the upcoming webinars.

“This is a perfect opportunity for time-poor operators who can’t always leave their business to attend training courses,” she said.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland General Manager Advocacy Nick Behrens said the webinar series offers a great opportunity for small business owners to improve the technology side of their business.

“CCIQ together with our partners have developed the digital learning series with the sole aim of helping Queensland’s small businesses to take advantage of the commercial, marketing and productivity benefits the digital economy offers,” Mr Behrens said.

“We are delighted to have joined forces with the Queensland Government and our partners to enable hundreds of businesses to benefit from this unique learning opportunity.”
