Queenslanders are encouraged to form a team for the Great Queensland Week Adventure Trail which will take over South Bank and Brisbane’s CBD during Queensland Week.

Teams will solve clues and compete in challenges as they discover hidden secrets along the trail.

Premier Campbell Newman said the event was a great way for people of all ages and fitness ability to have fun outdoors and celebrate our great state.

“The Great Queensland Week Adventure Trail will see participants visiting iconic sites around inner city Brisbane while solving fun clues that celebrate the history of Queensland,” Mr Newman said.

“Participants will have the chance to win great prizes, including best costume and team name.

“There is still time to gather your team together and register for the event.”

The Great Queensland Week Adventure Trail kicks off from 9 am on Sunday 8 June. Teams can register for $10 per team before Friday 30 May 2014.

Mr Newman said there will also be free activities on offer for the public from 11.30 am at The Courier-Mail Piazza.

“Join the celebrations and enjoy family activities and live entertainment as Adventure Trail participants make their way back to the finish line,” he said.

The full program of entertainment will be announced closer to the event.
