Attorney-General and Minister for Justice
The Honourable Jarrod Bleijie

Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Jarrod Bleijie has referred information relating to the actions of several Racing Queensland officials to the nation’s corporate watchdog, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

It follows findings by the Queensland Racing Commission of Inquiry, which was set up by the State Government.

The report recommended 10 people be referred to ASIC on a range of issues, including possible breaches of the Corporations Act, reckless behaviour and whether some sought to further their own interests.

ASIC will consider whether further action is warranted.
