Have your say at this year’s Ekka

Show goers at this year’s Ekka will be able to have their say about the Queensland Government’s proposed Government Precinct Redevelopment.

Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Jeff Seeney said people attending the show would be able to complete the online survey and talk to project team members about the redevelopment proposal.

“The Ekka presents a unique opportunity to get the views of thousands of people attending the show, many of whom have come from outside of Brisbane,” Mr Seeney said.

“I encourage visitors and exhibitors to head to the Ekka’s Queensland Government Precinct where they will find staff who can help them complete the online survey, take down their comments about the redevelopment or provide information on how they can submit their feedback.”

Mr Seeney said that there had already been extensive public consultation carried out at events in Brisbane’s CBD and the Brisbane Library.

“We have handed out in excess of 4,500 business cards detailing how submissions can be made and more than 1000 people have completed the online survey to date,” he said.

“I urge people to have their say before the public consultation deadline ends on 2 September.”

To have your say, complete the online survey at http://www.dsdip.qld.gov.au/precinctsurvey, complete a written submission form at http://www.dsdip.qld.gov.au/resources/form/government-precinct-written-submission-form.doc or email precinct@dsdip.qld.gov.au.
