Statement from Communities Minister Tracy Davis

The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services has this afternoon been advised by the board of the Regional Community Association Moreton Bay (RCAMB) that the organisation is facing severe financial difficulties.

I have advised my department to activate its contingency plans to ensure that the important services provided by RCAMB would continue to be provided.

The Pine River Neighbourhood Centre has been engaged to provide the services in the immediate future.

Staff from my department and senior representatives from the Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre will be on site to assist clients from Tuesday morning.

I have instructed my department to try and contact RCAMB employees who may have been impacted by this situation to offer assistance to them.
